Powerball Man Claims Winning Ticket For $500K Just in Time

In August 2020, a player stopped at the local Mobile gas station and purchased a Powerball ticket for that week's draw. Well, the prize remained unclaimed for virtually the whole year. With the deadline for producing the winning ticket having just a few hours remaining on the clock, the ticket holder finally appeared at the state lottery office to claim his $500,000 prize. Talk about leaving things to the last minute. Luckily he heard the last call from the lottery company over the car radio.
