Twitch Streamer: Watched by 40,000 Fans

Around 40,000 of his fans tuned in to the live stream. That was because Sodapoppin was promising to do something outrageous whilst playing blackjack. He had promised to make a $5,000 bet on a single hand during a live dealer game. Now, if he was to win, that would be amazing. But, as a Twitch streamer, he needed to do something big in order to both maintain and find new subscribers. On that Friday night, the games tables were all very busy. In the end, he found himself on a table with seven other players who were are partaking in the action. The table’s betting limits were from $100 up to $5,000. While other players were wagering $100 and up to $500, the Twitch streamer remained true to his word and he threw out the $5,000 bet as he had promised.

First Hand was Great

With the first round of cards, Sodapoppin found himself in the great position of being dealt an ace, while the dealer got a six. That’s a great position to be in. Everyone was jumping and high-fiving. But…when the second round of cards was dealt, things took an uneasy turn. All that joy was suddenly giving way to a feeling of awful dread. His second card was six. Thus he had a total of sixteen or six. This bought forth a resounding “FUCK” from the streamer.

Second Hand not so Great

As the round progressed and his next turn was nearing, you could hear that he was visibly shaking, saying things like, “I’m gonna cry” and ” My heart is racing”. After a lot of frustration and waiting, he made the only logical decision possible. He elected to take a third card. Whoops! A jack was put in his hand, and his worse fears were coming to fruition. The dealer, a very professional yet sweet young man wished him the best of luck as he proceeded to deal out all the other hands. When it came round for the dealer to deal for himself, he bought out another six, giving him a total of twelve. “Face card,” said Sodapoppin. “Face card!”. The dealer smiles and appeared to exhale slowly. Drawing the next card from the shoe, he slowly turned it over to reveal another six. Thus giving him a total of eighteen. As the card was turning, Sodapoppin already knew it was all over. He had lost his one time $5,000 blackjack bet. Suddenly jumping from his chair, shouting unintelligibly, he ran away from the camera into the back of the room. He was really upset and in a visible state of distress. Finally, Twitch streamer ran back and turned off his Twitch stream.
