You keep a running total of every card you see. Every time you see a 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6, you add 1 to a running total. Each time you see an ace, 10, or a face card, then you subtract 1 from your tally. Now, when the count is positive, then you have the house edge. When the count is negative, then the house edge reverts back to the casino. The higher the house edge in your favor, then the more you’ll bet. Easy!

You are basing your decision on the true count, which is the running count that divided by the number of decks being played from the shoe. And keep in mind that you’ll be needing to re-start the count every time the cards are shuffled. When it comes to hacking casino games, your real problem is not the counting of the cards. That bit is easy. It’s how you maintain your betting without showing a pattern that would point to the structure of counting cards. That’s the real difficulty.
