One thing to be aware of is the seagulls. They’re big and very aggressive and will seize any food you’re holding. So keep an eye out for their dive-bombing and watch out for bird poo on your clothes. As with almost every American city, you should expect to see any number of beggars and panhandlers. Some can be quite rude and aggressive, so we suggest that you avoid all contact. But on the whole, you’ll find Atlantic City to be clean, hospitable and certainly very visitor friendly. You have to remember that the city was really built just to attract tourists. And they’ve had almost 200 years to get it right.
