Video Poker Objectives
Let’s learn how to play video poker. It’s easy and fun. The goal of video poker is to get the highest hand possible.
The Rules
This game is similar to and based on Poker. The only difference is that players are not playing against others, but rather trying to achieve the highest hand possible in order to gain higher payouts. After placing a credit bet, a player is dealt 5 cards. Players have the option to hold a hand, discarding cards for new ones, or draw a new hand.
The Winning Hands
The winning hands when you play Video Poker are outlined as follows:
Jacks Or Better Video Poker
Royal Flush | Ace – King – Queen – Jack – 10 of the same suit |
Straight Flush | Five cards in sequence of the same suit |
Four Of A Kind | Any four cards of the same value |
Full House | Three of a kind and a pair |
Flush | Five cards from the same suit |
Straight | Any five cards in sequence but not of the same suit |
Three Of A Kind | Three cards of the same value and two unmatched cards |
Two Pair | Two cards with the same value with another two cards of the same value |
Jacks Or Better | One pair of Jacks or Higher |
Deuces Wild Video Poker
In Deuces Wild Video Poker, a 52-card deck is used. Deuces (cards with a value of two) are used to create winning combinations.
Royal Flush | Ace – King – Queen – Jack – 10 of the same suit |
Four Deuces | Any four twos |
Wild Royal Flush | Ace – King – Queen – Jack – 10 of the same suit but with a Joker replacing one with the 5 cards |
Five Of A Kind | Any four cards of the same value plus a Joker |
Straight Flush | Five cards in sequence of the same suit |
Four Of A Kind | Any four cards of the same value |
Full House | Three of a kind and a pair |
Flush | Five cards from the same suit |
Straight | Any five cards in sequence but not of the same suit |
Three Of A Kind | Three cards of the same value and two unmatched cards |
All American Video Poker
